I suffered for several months with kneecap pain every time I ran. Being a very keen runner it was a very frustrating! I had tried other “solutions” before, from Orthotic Insoles, Knee Guards to Sports Massage. However I was pleasantly surprised when at One Physiotherapy they took the time to analyse my running style and found that my weak HIP muscles and tight ilio-tibial band was the culprit. Problem solved!

After starting a new exercising regime involving alot of skipping, my Achilles Tendon flared up, which can be a very painful experience. Fortunately I took quick action, and went to One Physiotherapy. Their staff were very professional and their clinic is lovely. After 2-3 sessions, i was able to resume my normal routine.

I had lower back pain for quite some time from my stressful job, and after giving birth it simply got worse.  At One Physiotherapy, I had immediate relief and better yet, was taught some simple Pilates Based exercises to do on my own whenever I felt my back tighten up. Thanks for the help!

I’ve had my knee injury for over 2 years, and the Specialist I’ve been consulting could not even pin-point the cause of the injury. During the first few sessions they not only explained how my injury came about, but how I could prevent it from happening again. They traced the cause of my injury all the way to the type of shoes I wore, which I did not suspect. I’ve since been able to jog without any pain, compared to the past where my knee would hurt and swell. It’s been a great improvement and I’m pleased about my recovery!

My knee was hurting for several months due to my training for a marathon. But after visiting One Physiotherapy it improved quickly. They explained to me that I had to get my leg muscles “fit to run” and not think of running as a means of “getting fit.” Some taping, deep tissue massage, ultrasound and simple strengthening exercises made a world of difference!

Personally, I feel the team is great with the management of the inflammation of my knees. I was down with the injury for a long long time and a couple of sessions with them later, i could run with a simple taping method. They even  prescribed a few strengthening and stretching exercises for me. As long as I am conscientious in doing them, I am sure I can run without the tape soon enough!

I found the staff here  to be extremely competent when faced with complex problems, especially in my case where I have suffered various aches and pains after undergoing major surgery to my spine.

I first had Physiotherapy in the middle of year 2005, after seriously twisting my ankle whilst walking. The pain was excruciating and my ankle swelled a lot! Because it was my first injury, i really had no idea what to expect and felt lost and apprehensive. Leslie was great at explaining the injury and guiding me through my rehab. In fact, he even diagnosed that I had a foot alignment issue and made sure i had orthotic insoles to correct this, which helped tremendously. My ankle healed in time (with exercise and ultrasound) and I was able to claim a bronze medal at the SEA GAMES (2005) in archery. Thanks Leslie! Highly recommended!

Being a martial artist, a torn knee meniscus is much dreaded. Throughout the Physiotherapy sessions, the therapists at One Physiotherapy have been very professional and was very accurate in explaining my injury. I felt a tremendous improvement in my knee within 2 months. With much thanks to their guidance and dedication, I am able to resume doing the sport that I love. Well done!

My running was affected tremendously by my shin splints before I began physiotherapy. High time that physiotherapy is recognised as a legitimate and effective treatment not just for athletes but anyone who’s sustained physical injuries. Since suffering a fall from my mountain bike in 2005, surgery was suggested however through a great rehabilitation program I was not only able to avoid surgery but continue to enjoy all types of exercise which utilizes the shoulder area. I have also been able to exceed the weight I was pushing in the gym prior to the injury!

I would have no hesitation in going to One Physiotherapy again, as my Surgeon thought it would be hard to avoid surgery after falling on my shoulder. I am proof that a good Physio can not only reduce the impact of injury, but also help improve your future performance. And yes, I’m still cycling!
